Mahalakshmi Yoga Centre is situated in the silence of the mountains, adjacent to Ikaria's majestic Melissa Peak. Established in a two hundred year old farmhouse, the centre is surrounded by four thousand square metres of its own olive groves with a river flowing along their border.

Here, immersed in the purity of nature, you will find a protective and sympathetic environment for learning contemplation and other essential yogic practices.

An important element in our courses are the guided meditations which are intended to lead you towards the opening of your heart-centre. The heart, which in Sanskrit is termed the Anahata Chakra, is the seat of psychic and transcendental love.

The springtime is the most lovely season in the garden

Flowers

In our garden we grow those flowers most loved by the Divine such as jasmine, hibiscus and roses. We do this as part of our Karma Yoga and in order to have perfect materials for our pujas

Permaculture

Not only does permaculture act to help save a threatened environment, it supplies us with wonderful sustenance

Vegetables and Herbs

Our bodies are made of food and when we offer our bodies to the Divine for transformation, we wish to offer bodies made up of the purest food available

Holistic Vision of the Rishis

The Rishis viewed the world as a oneness where gods, men, animals and plants lived in mutual interdependence

Did you Know?
